I/O Device Error - On Harddisk / Flashdisk (FIXED)

Cuonks
I / O Device Error (I / O = Input / Output) is one of the most common Windows users encounter when accessing data through external devices, such as external hard disks, DVDs or CDs, flash disks, memory cards.
There are several versions of I / O Error, but the point remains the same. There are three kinds of errors that most often appear in Windows:

- The request could not be performed because of an I / O device error
- Only part of a read process memory request was completed
- Only part of a write process memory request was completed

          The error codes that appear on Windows, the most common are error 6, error 21, error 103, error 105, and error 131. No matter how varied I / O Device Error type.
how to handle it seems the same.

Cause I / O Device Error

- Drivers need to be updated or drivers corrupted due to corruption.
- Windows uses a transfer mode that does not match the hardware
- Loose cable connection
- External device (CD / DVD, memory card) is damaged or too dirty
- Less careful when reinstalling Windows

Here are some ways to troubleshoot I / O Device Error on computer hardware such as hard drive / external hard drive and flash:

The First Way is Check your hard disk or Flashdisk to check for damage, how to check the hard drive:

Klik Start > RUN > CMD> Klik Kanan Run As Administrator Kemudian Ketikkan chkdsk /f D:
Note: - D: ---> Harddisk hardware location or Flashdisk to be checked

then hit enter, if it looks like this means your hardware can still be saved.

The second way If the first way does not work the possibility of Flashdisk / Hardisk you experience Bad Sector, usually flash / hard disk that bad sector when in check will bring up the warning "the type of the file system is RAW".
Then how to overcome "the type of the file system is RAW" on the hard drive/flash ??

1. Download M3 raw drive recovery application
2. Install and open the software
3. Usually, Hardisk who experienced bad sectors marked with a red cross.

4. Then select Hardisk marked red cross then Next.
5. Wait until the repair is completed depending on the size of the repaired hard drive if it is clicked Fix Done.

The third way is to format harddisk hardware or Flashdisk. From most, I / O problems Device error is difficult to format the hard disk and flash disk hardware because hard disk or flash disk is protected "write protected".
The solution is to use Command Prompt "CMD":

1. Open CMD by clicking run as administrator.

2. After that type Diskpart.

3. Then show harddisk or Flasdik hardware list, Type Disk List.

      Then note which hardware Harddisk or Flasdisk that experienced i / o device error cannot be in the format, usually I distinguish it by looking at the size of my hardware.

4. Then Select Disk 1 (change the DISK 1 according to your flash disk / Harddisk number).

5. Type ATTRIBUTES DISK command, and you may find details that the flash is protected which is marked with Read-only: Yes.

6. To remove the write protected on the flash, type command ATTRIBUTES DISK CLEAR READONLY.

       If it works then you will find the Disk attributes cleared successfully report. And if you check again with the ATTRIBUTES DISK command, you'll see Read-only: No.
7. If it is correct, do format flash / hard drive should now flash / harddisk you can already in format.

If the above step still fails do not despair first, please do this fourth way.

Do this activity and still through the Registry Editor. Please open your registry editor again.

1. From Start select Run or by shortcut press Windows + R key on the keyboard to enter the Run start;

2. Please type Regedit in Run field and press Enter or click OK;

3. After the registry editor window is active, you search for Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ Currentcontrolset \ Control \ then retrieve string StorageDevicePolicies;

4. If you do not find the string then you have to create it manually. The trick is to click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ Currentcontrolset \ Control \ then right click on Control folder;

5. Click select New - Key and then rename it to StorageDevicePolicies;

6. Now right-click on the StorageDevicePolicies folder you just created, choose DWORD (32-bit) for your 32bit computer or laptop OS, or DWORD (64-bit) if your computer or laptop is running a 64-bit version OS;

7. The next step changes the name of DWORD that we just set to WriteProtect. Then double click (double-click) and change the value data to 0 with hexadecimal option;

8. You remove the registry editor window, then Refresh your computer or laptop. Now Eject flash or Safely Remove then pull out the flash;

    Restart the computer and when the computer has flashed back please reinsert the flash and try your format.
