System File Checker or sfc.exe is a utility in Microsoft Windows located in the C: \ Windows \ System32 folder. Before
using SFC, it's a good idea to set up your Windows installation DVD /
ISO first, because when SFC scans the system files, SFC will prompt the

application you want to open and select Run As Administrator.

After the process is complete, SFC will give the result of whether there is a file system that successfully repaired.
"Verification 100% complete."
The results you get may vary, depending on whether the damage is found or not. If SFC does not find an error, then the following message will be displayed.
"Windows Resource Protection didn’t find any integrity violations."
If SFC finds the damage and manages to fix it. The following message indicates where the system is located.
"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully
repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"
However if SFC finds the damage and can not fix it, the following message will be displayed.
"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix
some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"
Step 5: Close the command prompt window when the process is complete and restart your computer. Check again if the damage still exists.
